Just finished playing Inside on PS4. Bloody brilliant. The sequel (or rather prequel) to Limbo was one hell of a ride. From the very beginning as a fragile frightened boy till the closing scene, where you end up stranded as a monstrous clumsy screwed up blob on a beach I was in a continuous state of awe and amazement. When the credits were rolling I just sat there puzzled, needing to take some time to decompress from it. Bloody hell, what the fuck has just happened? Since I couldn’t dare close the game I turned up the volume, laid down on the sofa and fell into a deep sleep. Like a glorious coma. And there I was, a whalelike collective animal, floating in search of my lost individuality through layers and layers of heavy symbolism. Damn. I didn’t have to scratch my head and agonize over meaning so much since the last movie of Aronofsky (“Mother”). Beautiful mess. Beautiful mess. Just like a good relationship.
